KABUL (Dispatches) — A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a voter registration center in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, killing at least 57 people and injuring more than 100, in the most serious attack yet on preparations for elections scheduled for October.
Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack on a project of key importance to the credibility of President Ashraf Ghani’s government, which has been under international pressure to ensure long-delayed parliamentary polls take place this year.
Millions of pilgrims are assembled in the holy city of Karbala. They are paying their respects to the Chief of Martyrs, Imam Husain (AS), whose birthday devotees throughout the world celebrated yesterday on the 3rd of Sha’ban.
Today on the 4th of Sha’ban the faithful, whether those assembled in Karbala or all over the globe, are making the auspicious birthday of the Valiant Standard-Bearer of the Immortal Epic of Karbala, Hazrat Abu’l-Fazl al-Abbas (AS).
The hoarders of world science and technology always try to keep other countries dependent on their products, exclusively; as a result, they are upset and angry with scientific advancements of Iranian scientists, including Iran’s nuclear technology achievements.
If you can continue making documentary films, I hold, it is important and valuable work. In documentary making, the role of speech is crucial, just as martyr Avini proved it. Both the text and its reciting are extremely important.
If martyr Avini’s presentations were not there, many of the scenes didn’t make sense at all. Long after the broadcast of “A Narrative of the Conquest” a TV show that had started, I didn’t know martyr Avini.
But, I was a fan of the TV show and watched all the episodes. It had a great impact on me; I saw how his speech was influential.
Those who pretend that ‘gender justice’ means the participation of women in the all areas that men participate in, are betraying women’s trust, respectability, and identity.
Women are highly respectable; no one has implied that women should not participate in various social arenas, or that they should not undertake responsibilities, or that they should not become scientists: no one is against this.
“As long as you enjoy sound physiques and enough time, take the initiative in acting because you may suffer the sudden visit of death that takes you from the surface of the earth to its inside, from its highest point to the lowest, from its affability to its loneliness, from its ease and light to its gloom, and from its wideness to its narrowness where the intimate friend cannot be visited, the ill cannot be called on, and the seeker of help cannot be aided.”
Amazing words of wisdom indeed! The statement reflects the realities of life and death. To anyone with a grain of faith or conscience, this passage ought to be an inspiration for striving towards virtue and the doing of good deeds without wasting time or sparing efforts.
The interesting idea to have a day for members of the Islamic Revolution’s Guards Corps and to relate this day to the auspicious birthday anniversary of Imam Hussein (a.s.) is a significant innovation which shows us the path.
It is necessary to thank those who were the first to think of this idea and to make us notice this concept. This is because the Islamic Revolution’s Guards Corps has made an impressive promise to safeguard the Islamic Revolution. I will briefly speak about this issue later on.

The month of Sha’ban is the month of prayer and worship. In a prayer from the Mafatih al-Jinan (Keys to the Heavens: a compilation of prayers and supplications) we read: “In which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be on him and on his children) used to exert himself, willingly, in the matter of fasting and praying during days and nights, to show his humility before You for the respect and honor You bestowed on him, until his last breath.”

You should rely on God. You should ask Allah the Exalted to help you succeed. You should strengthen your relationship with spirituality and Allah the Exalted on a daily basis. Different preoccupations should not prevent you from engaging in dhikr and paying attention to spirituality.
